Continuous Creation

Been Busy Doing Stuff.

Got some "nightie" fabric from Spotlight, unpicked a cheap purple version of this bag from Ishka (and used that as my pattern to make this bag). I was going to make it black with the butterfly lining, but then I thought: "Nah - the butterflies are too pretty to hide away." You can't see but the top of the handle is actually two halves tied together so it is (in theory) adjustable.

But once I got it Slung Comfortably, I wasn't changing it!

The Ishka version of the bag wasn't made for Women With Breasts and so I also made the handles a little longer. As you can see, as modelled by Melinda on the right, it sits naicely on the hip of the Curvy Woman.

This bag is the best thing since sliced bread for someone like me who does much of my interaction with commercial bodies by herself: I can have me hands free to get in and out of cars, unlock car boots while juggling multiple bags of groceries; and make transactions without having to take the bag off my shoulder.

One has also been doing stuf with Scrapbooks: here are two photos from the "Scrapaway Weekend" where one interacted with scary women with the Light of the Converted in their eyes.

I did some 23 pages and got most of my craft project photos done. Fortunately Elley and Imelda were there to protect me. We had a great time together and they were like giddy schoolgirls away on camp. Things have come to a pretty pass when I had to put my foot down and say that we were GOING TO SLEEP.

Cuteness by association

I'm pretty dashed adorable. How do I know? Because I am related to these two little chickens and it is not possible for them to be any cuter if they actually tried.

Here we have Beatrice at 19 months wondering what all the wet stuff is falling from the sky (they don't get much rain in Albury).

Her mother calls her the Toothless Tiger - not too many teeth for her age yet!

And here is her cousin Georgie at nearly-almost-one, interacting with a Very Large Spoon. I love the big splodge of cake mix on her forehead and the fact that Mummy is probably saying "Smile!" and she's doing it all with her eyes rather than letting the spoon out of her mouth.
Gotta love that hot pink bib - just the thing for a young Oke miss on the go.

We have a winner!

This a dual award, and goes to Carissa, one of my many temps.

I rang her yesterday to ask her if she could do some work for me today.

Her answer gets her the following:

1. The Best Reason EVER Not Being Able To Come In

2. Best Answer EVER To "Hi, Where Are You Right Now?"

...and all she had to do was say: "No, sorry, I can't. I'm in Las Vegas."

Although being a Nice Person Generally she did add: "I hope you can find someone."

Still boggling at the whole Global Roaming thing 24 hours later.
